This map indicates the locations of savannas across the globe. The largest savanna in the world is located in Africa. East Africa, specifically Tanzania, contains the most well known savannah, Serengeti Plains. Brazil, Venezuela, and Columia occupy a large stretch of savanna as well. Located in northern Australia is a tropical savanna. Savanna biomes are located between a tropical rainforest and a desert biome either just above or just below the equator.
